If there is one good thing that has happened over the pandemic, it’s Zoom bloopers. From kids and pets visiting meetings to strange sounds in the house, a bit of levity has really helped during tough times.
But this Zoom blooper? This one had me crying with laughter, because a kitten was presenting its case before a judge.
Shared by the 394th District Court of Texas, the video came with a slight warning from Judge Roy Ferguson, the presiding judge. It’s always a good idea to check your Zoom filters before your meeting.
One of the lawyers meeting with Judge Ferguson had borrowed his secretary’s computer for the hearing, and realized after the meeting had started that the kitten filter had been left on.
But in the spirit of the law, the lawyers were still ready to proceed with what needed to go on, to ensure that justice was served.
The attorney shares with the judge, with his (now) large kitty eyes, “I’m prepared to go forward with it. I’m here live … I’m not a cat.”
I can’t get over how calm the other attorney and the judge remained. Take a look!
