Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber partnered with Universal to launch a new YouTube show aptly called, “The Shows Must Go On.”
They plan to release one full-length musical every Friday at 7 p.m. UK time (that’s 2 p.m. Eastern) while we’re all stuck at home.
Each musical will be available for 48 hours. As Webber shares in his Facebook announcement that gives you all weekend to watch it… or to watch it multiple times.
First up? On Friday, April 3, 2020, tune in to the 2000 version of Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat.
The film version stars Donny Osmond as Joseph and Maria Friedman as the narrator. While the film was never rated in the U.S., it’s one the family can most definitely enjoy together.
Chances are, the kids will adore the dancing. They might even start singing along to Webber classics like “Go, Go, Go, Joseph,” and “Any Dream Will Do.”

On April 10, the channel will release the 2012 film Jesus Christ Superstar. Be sure to subscribe to the channel, because, in addition to the weekly musical releases, they’ll be posting even more behind-the-scenes footage.
