Deliciously simple to make, two-ingredient lemon bars are the perfect weeknight dessert for your family!
When it comes to desserts, there are two things that I love more than anything else. Anything with lemon is top of the list and of course something easy to make. Who’s with me? I mean, if I’m going to make dessert for the family, it has to be something simple and quick. (this post has affiliate links included)
Two Ingredient Lemon Bars
These two ingredient lemon bars fit these requirements perfectly! It takes me about a minute to mix everything together and then I just pop it in the oven! Done!
I have a lemon bar recipe that I made for years, it was delicious and I craved them but it was a little bit more involved to make them. I couldn’t just mix a couple things together and bake. Then I found this recipe and my life was complete! You think I’m joking but nope – that’s how much I love this recipe!
My son loves to cook and bake as well and this is a recipe that I don’t even have to supervise because he can’t mess it up! It’s a mix and done type of recipe, the only way to ruin it is if you burn them!
Let me show you what I’m talking about..
How to Make Two Ingredient Lemon Bars
Ingredients You Need:
Directions:
Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with nonstick cooking spray. Mix together the Angel Food Cake Mix and the lemon pie filling in a medium-sized bowl. Spread in the 9 x 13 pan evenly. Cook for about 25 minutes or until the top is brown. Sprinkle the top with powdered sugar and enjoy!
These bars have a sponge cake-like consistency, this is due to the angel food cake and how it is a little more light and airy than a traditional cake mix.
We like to add cherry pie filling into this recipe sometimes too and have a slightly different version. It’s delicious too!
