I love baking especially during the holidays but between the craziness of shopping and all of the guests that come to visit, I hardly have the time to bake.
I don’t think the holidays are the same without a delicious treat that everyone can devour, wouldn’t you agree? That is exactly why today we are partnering with Reddi-wip to bring you this No-Bake Peppermint Pudding Pie. It’s a mouthful to say, but it’s also a mouthful of deliciousness.
Peppermint Pie
This holiday dessert is perfect! It is creamy, sweet, chocolatey, and minty! It has the perfect combination of flavors. Plus, the only thing that makes it better is a big dollop of whipped cream.
Whipped cream makes everything better. Pumpkin pie, fruit, trifles, pudding, jello, peppermint pie, bad days are all may better by whipped cream.
Supplies Needed to Make a No-Bake Peppermint Pie:
- Pre-made Pie Crust (I used chocolate pie crust)
- 2 Large Boxes of Vanilla Pudding (and milk to make it)
- 8 Drops Red Food Coloring
- 1 Tablespoon Pure Peppermint Extract
- Peppermint Candy Pieces
- Reddi-wip ® Original Dairy Whipped Topping
- Chocolate Syrup (optional)
How to Make A No-Bake Peppermint Pie:
- In a bowl, combine your vanilla pudding and 4 cups of milk.
- Mix until well blended.
- Once the pudding mixture has start to set (about 2 minutes) it’s time to add the peppermint extract and red food coloring.
- Mix until well incorporated.
- Carefully spoon the pudding mixture into the pie crust filling it entirely.
- Sprinkle the top of the pie with the peppermint candy pieces.
- Refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours. If you notice the pie is still not setting, you can freeze it before cutting and serving.
- Once you cut a piece of the pie you can top it with the Reddi-wip, chocolate syrup and additional peppermint candies.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
You will be cutting the amount of milk used to help thicken the pudding. If you like a little less peppermint you can add less oil.
The color of this pie is so festive and pretty! Plus, pretty aside, the sweet peppermint tastes so well against the more bitter chocolate cookie crust. The cookie crust also gives it a nice crunchy texture too.
What Kind Of Peppermints Do You Use?
There are 2 different types of peppermints you can use to top your peppermint pie. If you want more of a crunch, break up hard candy peppermints, but make sure you break it in small enough pieces so it doesn’t hurt anyone’s teeth.
There are also softer peppermints you can buy, and you could break those up. There will still be a crunch, but it will be less pronounced.
