Here Is What You Need To Know About The 10/10 Holiday Sales

It feels like the holiday season starts earlier and earlier every year. We go through back to school and then Halloween and Christmas is just a big mix of holiday decor.

Well, this year the Christmas season is starting earlier than ever, but with good reason! This year has not been kind to anyone, and so there has been a scramble to ensure everyone’s holiday season will be merry.

You may end up scrambling too if you’re one of those people who wait last minute or until Black Friday to do all of your shopping. This year it won’t be that simple and if you wait too long you may not be able to get your family the Christmas gifts they asked for.

Even if you’re not buying gifts, but making gifts like these diy mason jar Christmas gifts, you’ll still need extra time to gather all your supplies.

Let the Holiday Season Commence!

Due to the pandemic, many will be doing their Holiday Shopping and Christmas shopping during this holiday shopping season online.
This holiday shopping season is going to be done mainly online with particular focus on 10/10.

October is reported to be the biggest holiday shopping month this year with particular focus on 10/10/20.

Why?

Businesses are attempting to mirror 11/11, which is November 11th Singles’ Day in China, but instead of singles their focus will be the holidays. Last year alone, Singles’ Day brought in $38 million dollars in sales. Makes sense why retailers are trying to push for something similar, especially this year when so many businesses are struggling.

Too Busy To Shop That Day?

Don’t have time to do all your shopping that day? Fret not! While 10/10 is the focus for the sale, most sales will be going from 10/9-10/14 with various stores participating on different days.

You’ll be able to find anything from home goods to technology and everything in between during these sales.

More deals and longer sales sounds like a win-win to me!

What Stores Are Participating in the 10/10 Sale?

During the 10/10 sales we have to order and buy as many things because of supply issues and slow mail
With so many stores participating it’ll be rough not to shop till you drop this holiday shopping season.

Unfortunately we don’t know every store participating in the 10/10 sale. This is mainly because the element of surprise actually boosts sales so until the date is closer many retailers will be tight-lipped.

However, we do know some of the participants!

Some of the stores that will be having sales are:

  • Nordstrom
  • Home Depot
  • Mattress Firm
  • Urban Outfitters
  • Ulta
  • Macy’s

While they aren’t necessarily retailers, places like Shopkick and Fashwire will be hosting as a sale hub for partners as well as dozens of retailers to make shopping easier.

Plus, Amazon Prime Day will being going on during this 10/10 sale as well. Their deals will be going on the 10/13 and 10/14 so make sure you have your lists ready! Not to be outdone and left out of the shopping fun, Target will also be doing deal days on the 13th and 14th of October.

A little friendly competition never hurt!

Shop until you drop during this holiday shopping season since many stores will be doing early sales for 10/10.
Can’t find what you’re looking for on 10/10, there will be sales the next few days after and even more during the month of November.

Is Your Favorite Store Not Having a Sale?

Not all retailers are getting involved in the 10/10 sale unfortunately. However, since Black Friday is rumored to be a bit of a bust this year because of the pandemic, many retailers will be doing Black Friday deals starting the first week of November and on.

Why Is the Christmas Shopping Season Starting on 10/10?

You may be asking why these retailers are so focused on Christmas when we are barely into fall. One of the main reasons for these early sales is the pandemic. The pandemic has touched the lives of everyone especially those in retail and in the Postal Service.

By doing more sales earlier, and many online, this prevents large groups from gathering that holiday shopping usually produces.

Plus, if you have ordered anything since the pandemic started then you know about the severe mail delays that the country has been facing. Everything requires extra time to get to its destination. Which means, the already super busy holiday season that required extra time requires even more time!

So the sooner everyone can do their holiday shopping the better!
