When I think of roses, I think of my family’s gardens. My grandmother, the home I grew up in, all of my relatives had at least one rosebush in their yard. So many different kinds of roses, from tiny roses the diameter of a quarter to massive blooms as big as my hand. So many colors including multicolored roses and the scent? Mmmmm. I even studied roses for my master’s degree –  my thesis was about wild rose resistance to black spot, a common fungal infection especially of the hybrid tea roses.
