Here’s How You Can Prevent Fogged Glasses While Wearing A Face Mask

By: Dawn Monroe

Do your glasses fog up every time you put your face mask on?  I just found a new hack to prevent face mask fog, and you’re going to love it!

Prevent Face Mask Fog

According to the CDC:

It is critical to emphasize that maintaining 6-feet social distancing remains important to slowing the spread of the virus.  CDC is additionally advising the use of simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of the virus and help people who may have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others.  Cloth face coverings fashioned from household items or made at home from common materials at low cost can be used as an additional, voluntary public health measure.

The cloth face coverings recommended are not surgical masks or N-95 respirators.  Those are critical supplies that must continue to be reserved for healthcare workers and other medical first responders, as recommended by current CDC guidance.

If you choose to wear a mask, there’s one thing I know for sure: when you wear a mask with glasses, the glasses will fog up!

It’s frustrating.  We need to see, but we can’t see through the fog caused when we exhale. So it’s either take off the glasses, take off the mask or find a solution to prevent face mask fog.

Simple Way To Prevent Face Mask Fog

Three words: Toilet Paper or Tissue.  Yes, it’s that easy! Simply fold about 6 squares of toilet paper or 1 tissue to a small rectangle. Insert the folded rectangle in the nose brim of your mask, and let the toilet paper or tissue absorb the moisture you exhale!

Easy enough, right?
