Nike is Saying Thank You By Donating 30,000 Shoes to Frontline Healthcare Workers

During this time of staying at home, we’ve been able to see a lot of good that is going on around us. We’ve seen teachers driving by to see their students, neighborhoods coming together to show support to each another and people doing good for others around them.

Companies have also been giving back to people that deserve it the most. Nike is partnering with a nonprofit called Good360 and they are donating 140,000 pieces of footwear, apparel and equipment to frontline workers all over the world. These brave women and men have been working so hard to help people that are sick and help contain the spread of the illness.

Professional athletes from all over the world are joining with Nike to say thank you to the frontline workers.

These athletes helped announce that Nike is donating 3,000 of Nike Air Zoom Pulse shoes to health care workers in Chicago, Los Angeles, Memphis and New York City. 2,500 more pairs will be donated to hospitals in Europe, including Barcelona, Berlin, London, Milan, Paris and Belgium. 95,000 pairs of soccer socks will be delivered to healthcare workers in Los Angeles and New York City. These socks offer mild compression and will bring more relief to the healthcare workers feet.

The Nike Air Zoom Pulse is the first show designed for the healthcare athlete. Having reliable, comfortable footwear is a must when you’re on your feet as much as nurses, hospital workers and doctors are. 

Nike has committed more than $25 million to help serve communities that need help. They also have had teams from Nike coming together to create (and then donate) full-face shields and powered, air-purifying respirator (PAPR) lenses to help protect healthcare workers against the coronavirus.

I love seeing companies do this and my heart is full.
