30+ Ways to Learn About The Moon

Our moon is so fascinating, and there are so many cool ways to learn about it! Kids can explore the different phases of the moon, create craters on their own version, and even make moon-inspired art.

Kids space activities are some of our favorite ways to inspire a love of learning and an interest in the galaxy. Your child will love watching an astronaut reading in space and may even want to grow up to be one someday!

Learning about the moon can be fun and interesting with simple space crafts and activities for kids.

 Learn About The Moon

My little one is always interested in where the moon is and when it is “going to sleep” and “waking up.” Here’s a preschool activity to help learn about the different phases of the moon for kids.  This includes a free printable for you to use!

Learn how to make moon sand by combining corn starch with regular play sand. This is a really interactive activity that you probably want to take outside!

Make a fun space play mat! These mats are a wonderful addition to the play room and provide hours of fun for little explorers.
