Wintertime means cold and flu season for most families and, while everyone is doing their best to stay healthy, it’s sometimes inevitable that germs make their way into your house.
It’s hard enough when you have sick kids, but sick babies present an even bigger challenge, especially when it comes to taking medicine. One mom has a genius hack to make giving medicine to your baby even easier.
Rather than trying to use a spoon or syringe and hoping for the best, Helena Lee shared a much easier way to get all the medicine down. While trying to give her son Alfie his medication, he ended up covered in much of it after spitting it out. We all know how expensive medications can be and no one needs to be wearing it.
Instead, Lee used the syringe that came with the baby’s medication and the nipple from one of his regular bottles. She lined up the syringe with the nipple, gave the nipple to the baby, and was able to get all his medication into him, saying “Not 1 bit got wasted and no tears!”
That’s definitely a parenting win, and a hack to save for the next time your little one is not feeling well.
While it’s not always possible to prevent all illnesses, there are always precautions you can take. Put together a Sick Baby Survival Kit with our guide and printable or a DIY Sick Kit for grownups.
