Your kids will have a Holly Jolly Christmas making this Santa Toilet Paper Roll Craft. It is easy to make and you likely have everything you need at home!
My kids love crafting especially when it’s too cold outside to play. That is why they loved this Santa toilet paper roll because they could use empty toilet paper rolls and could sit at the counter, keeping busy for hours. If your kids enjoy crafting (and adore Santa) they will love this.
Supplies Needed to Make A Santa Toilet Paper Roll Craft:
- Toilet paper roll
- Red paint
- Tan foam paper
- Black foam paper
- Yellow foam paper
- Red felt paper
- White felt paper
- Red Pom Pom
- Two googly eyes
- Glue
- Scissors
- Paint brush
How to Make A Santa Toilet Paper Roll Craft:
Paint the toilet paper roll with red paint. You may need to do a couple of coats. Set aside to dry.
While the toilet paper roll dries, cut a circle roughly the size of a 50 cent piece out of the tan foam paper. This will be used for Santa face.
Now cut out a beard out of the white felt paper.
Assemble Santa’s face by using glue to attach white felt beard, red pom pom for the nose, and two googly eyes. While the face dries, cut out a triangle shape from the red felt paper for his hat.
Once you have the triangle cut out, cut out a ball and a strip with rounded puffy edges from the white felt paper. These with be the trim and ball of Santa’s hat. Now glue the whit hat pieces to the red triangle.
Now glue the hat to the top of Santa’s face then glue the entire face and hat to the top of the red toilet paper roll.
The last thing we need to do is make Santa’s belt. Cut a thin strip from the back foam paper. Make sure it is long enough to wrap around the toilet paper roll. Now cut a small square out of the yellow foam paper for the belt buckle. Be sure to cut a smaller square out of the middle belt buckle piece so that you just have a yellow square border.
Finally, glue the black strip around the toilet paper roll on the lower part of the roll underneath Santa’s face. Then glue the belt buckle onto the black part right in the middle. Let glue dry and then you’re all done.
You now have your very own Santa Paper Roll!
