Cinnamon Roll Cake in a Mug

The lazy days of summer are gone and school has started full force in our house. I saw a meme the other day that said something like, “School has started, time to get your Halloween costumes, Thanksgiving menu, and Christmas present shopping done now, because it’s basically 2020. Happy New Year.”

That seems to be my life in a nutshell. With after school activities, and volunteering, and work, some days it’s all I can do to drag myself out the door sit in the car line for 40 minutes in the afternoon. 

That’s why I’m so excited to have found Betty Crocker Mug Treats, which are perfectly portioned for one, for an afternoon pick-me-up indulgence. My favorite is the Cinnamon Roll Cake flavor. YUM.

The best part is that you get a yummy, baked snack from the microwave. Yes, that’s right . No oven needed here. 

Just grab your favorite 8- to-10-ounce sized mug, empty the cake mix envelope into the mug, and mix with the amount of milk or water it says on the box. 

Once it’s well blended, microwave uncovered on high for about a minute until the top is dry. You can add 10 seconds if it seems to need a bit longer. 

Squeeze the cream cheese icing over the cake and let stand for two minutes to finish cooking. It’s that easy!
