What to Do While Fall Pumpkin Treats Bake
Fall is my family’s favorite time of year! There are so many fun autumn activities! Whether we go to the pumpkin patch, apple orchard, or take a hay ride, my favorite part is coming home to a cozy house, and baking some yummy treats with the apples and pumpkins we picked.
My kids can get impatient waiting for their treats to come out of the oven (okay–I can, too!) so I have learned to find fun fall themed books and crafts to keep us busy while we wait.
We love snuggling up with a good book, like There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves, and Hello, Harvest Moon.
Fall is also the best crafting season! We love making colorful creations together while our desserts bake away, making the house smell heavenly! One of our favorite fall crafts that we make every year is tissue paper pumpkins. They are fun for kids of every age (assisting the younger ones), and make adorable decorations! All you need is orange, brown, and green tissue paper, masking tape, and chocolate candies.
Before you know it, your treat will be ready to eat, the perfect ending to a fun fall family day!
