Last week we shared that Target is releasing Halloween Costumes for Kids In Wheelchairs but now, they have expanded their line of Halloween Costumes this year and Is Releasing Halloween Costumes For Kids With Disabilities and we are so happy!
Target recently released a sneak peek of their 2019 Halloween Collection and in it, they also released a few Halloween costumes made just for kids in wheel chairs. They are calling this collection the ‘Adaptive Costume Collection’.
Originally, the sneak peek included a girl and a boy’s themed costume for those in wheelchairs. Including a pirate with pirate ship for a boy.
And a princess with a princess carriage for a girl.
But now, they’ve given us a deeper look at what is to come of this year’s costume selection and are offering even more options!
A new sneak peek includes this Unicorn Costume and according to the description it offers:
- Kids sensory-friendly Halloween costume features flat seams and no tags for an ultra-comfy feel
- Unicorn costume includes shiny horn, glittery ears and wings, and a rainbow tail for a magical look
- Designed with a hidden opening in front pocket for convenient abdominal access
- Hood, tail and wings are removable to accommodate sensitivities
They also have this Shark Adaptive costume:

They have several different options for kids with disabilities to make Halloween a fun and memorable experience for everyone. I am so excited Target has made this initiative and I hope it’s the first of many to come.
