Toss up some blue-sea pasta, add a side of fruit or veggies, and you’ve got the perfect meal to make your child smile! (this post includes affiliate links)
Make Octopus Hot Dogs
What you need to make octopus hot dogs:
How to Make Octopus Hot Dogs
Directions:
Using the knife, cut the hot dog in half about 3/4 of the way up, then cut each of those in half again. You should have four legs so far.
Using your kitchen scissors, carefully cut each leg in half again (long ways) to make 8 hanging legs.
Bring a pot of water to a boil, and place your hot dog carefully in the water.
BOIL for about 10 minutes or until the “legs” start to curl up.
Remove from water and dot with two eyes from ketchup/mayo/mustard.
For blue sea pasta:
Bring water to a boil and add in 4-6 drops of blue food coloring.
Add pasta and cook per package directions (about 8-10 minutes).
Drain and toss with a bit of butter and parmesan for flavor.
Set the octo-dog on top of the pasta for an under the sea meal! You can also add cooked peas to the pasta for extra veggies.
