Dr Chetan Ginigeri is an experienced Paediatric Intensivist with National and International training. He formerly headed one of the largest Paediatric Critical Care Units in Bangalore at Narayana Hrudayalaya Multispeciality Hospital. He is also one of the very few Intensivists in India, who is trained to take care of those sick children who need/had Organ transplants. He coordinated the Paediatric Organ Transplant program.
Dr Chetan Ginigeri’s interest in state of the art Pediatric critical care had earlier led him to Kings College London in the United Kingdom, where he received training in Advanced Pediatric Intensive Care. King’s College London is one of the top 30 universities in the world (2012/13 QS international world rankings). His graduate and post graduate training was at two of India’s premier medical training institutes, the Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry and the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh respectively.
Dr Chetan Ginigeri has written more than twenty five articles for such peer reviewed publications as the Indian Journal of Paediatrics, Indian Paediatrics, Biomedicine, Current Paediatrics etc to name a few. In addition he has made several presentations at professional conferences and symposia at the national and international levels.
Dr Chetan Ginigeri’s passion for professional teaching and training becomes well known within a short span of time wherever he goes. To take these skills beyond the confines of a single institution Dr Chetan is spearheading a Paediatric Critical Care teaching& training program called ‘PANORAMA’. Panorama is open for any Children’s Specialist interested in updating himself/herself about, not only the fundamentals but also the state of the art happenings in Paediatric Critical Care.
Dr Chetan Ginigeri is one of the founders of ‘PEOPLE TREE FOUNDATION’ a unique, non profit organization started exclusively by young dynamic doctors. Through this organization Dr Chetan and his team are committed to create a child safe world and also to provide health information to every parent to make informed choices about their children’s health and safety.
He is also a proud recipient of ‘Vocational Excellence Award’ from Rotary International for his contribution to Pediatric Critical Care and advocating Child Safety. He champions the cause of Child Safety and is one of the core force behind the SAFE Child [ Safety Awareness For Every Child] initiative of People Tree Foundation in partnership with People Tree Hospitals.
Dr Chetan is loved by his patients and their families for his extraordinary love and commitment towards the care of his children.
